Article Number One: How the Words You Use On the Golf Course Affect Your Game!

 

Words are extremely important, because they form your thoughts (a thought is simply a grouping of words also known as “a phrase”).  Your thoughts create the feeling you have in your body, and the feeling you experience in your body is actually the energy of your body vibrating. Positive thoughts cause the energy in your body to vibrate much faster then negative thoughts and higher levels of vibration feel better (love is the highest). What you attract in your life is a result of this vibrating energy you are experiencing in your body. The Law of Attraction simply matches the vibration you are offering at any given time and matches it by providing you with matching results in your life “Like attracts like.”

The topic of the Law of Attraction has been included in great teachings throughout the centuries. Many people have been teaching this principle within the last 30 years, but the mainstream population was most recently exposed to this topic when the movie, The Secret was released in early 2007. The Secret quickly swept through North America and around the world, taking the self-help market by storm. Almost overnight, the Law of Attraction was a hot topic for such shows as Oprah, Larry King Live, The Today Show, Montel, The Ellen Degeneres Show and Nightline, imbedding it firmly into mainstream culture.

Article Number Three: How to Start Your Season Off Shooting Low Scores


I’m making the assumption that if you are reading this article then you are a serious golfer. Now that doesn’t mean that you play golf all of the time, or that you are able to shoot really low scores. It just means that when you do play golf you take the game seriously and you’re consciously working towards lowering your handicap.

My observation of working with golfers of all skill levels is that MOST golfers don’t help themselves shoot lower scores. Okay, let me explain. Have you ever played with a golfer that shot in the 90’s on the back tees, and you thought to yourself, “Why doesn’t he or she get the same scores from the middle tees?”

 Article Number Four: Shoot Lower Golf Scores Using Creative Visualization

In her book Creative Visualization, Shakti Gawain states, “Creative visualization is the technique of using your imagination to create what you want in your life.”

Shakti’s book is a great resource for learning about using creative visualization, and many of the techniques and concepts she teaches in the book can be directly applied to golf.

Creative visualization can be used to create the results that you want, but what some people don’t know is that by using creative visualization you can create the results that you don’t want. For instance, you may have experienced at some point in your golfing career, just standing over the ball and starting to worry about hitting your next shot into the water.  Or, perhaps well before a round has started you already start to worry about the results and what you are going to end up shooting in your upcoming round AND what your friends are going to think of you. When you are in the process of worrying, your mind is actually creating negative thoughts and images. If fact, when you are worrying you are actually visualizing the results you don’t want.

 Article Number Five: Improve Your Golf Game and Lower Your Handicap Using Affirmations

We all know that most of the time, whilst playing a round of golf, we are not even hitting the ball. In fact, you are probably only spending about 10% of your time on the golf course actually focusing on hitting the golf ball. Allow me to provide you with an exercise that you can use during your round of golf to maintain your focus, improve your concentration, and create empowering beliefs about your game!

An affirmation can be described as a short sentence that is best stated as a positive statement in the present tense. One of the purposes of using affirmations is to help reprogram our mind to believe something to be true. With respect to the Law of Attraction the purpose of an affirmation is to help us raise our vibrations about achieving one of our desires.
